I am one who tends to be light on the text, giving you enough to know what is going on only, and heavy on preview pictures. In an update of 100 pictures total I tend to have 25-30 free pictures. I know I rarely state how many pictures are in each update, but maybe I should. I did for my 200th update because I did 200 pictures for it, but that may actually be it. I guess I don't see the point of having more free pictures than member's pictures. I didn't realize some did that.

I have a whole lot of respect for people who take their own photos with a timer. I did a few updates by myself with a timer a while back (in one of them I'm even completely nude for you 
) It was a lot of work!!! I think I did alright, but it made me appreciate my photographer so much more!

I like many kinds of nudes,and they dont have to be all that arty.
Here is one (by charm's permission) from a newcomer, Miss Lady. She uses it as her cover pic, and a free pic in her first update.
I like it for its 'nakedness'. A nude can appear very 'naked', but not necessarily so. Here, the simpicity of the composition and types of objects (girl and trees, no more) and the absence of all clothing, jewelry and tattos and a simple hairstyle all contribute to the young model's expression of naked vulnerability. Has she been expecting us? Have we caught her by surprise? She seems to accept our sudden presence. She will not resist. But she is not inviting either.
The picture does not confront porn and glamour, but also does not depend on those genre rules.
I love that bare butt!

I've got to say, a woman would usually always win over her members mostly by her eyes and expression, it's subconcious and even if guys disagree, it's a deeper truth about sex. It can be exciting to see breasts and butts and a lot of other hidden things, yes, but for me it's the look in her eyes that goes along with it that really truly makes me hot and crazy, to see she really enjoys it and really means it. When a woman does it for me on that level, then everything else matches up automatically, it doesn't really matter too much if, for example, she shaved or not, she wears great outfits, she wears a lot of makeup, etc. There's a deeper romantic level to all sex we just can't ignore, and it all starts with the eyes.

Most charms have an active family, home, work etc life. And although they enjoy SC, unfortunately it's not a priority over family, etc.
I am terrible with emails! But I do truly care about my SC site. Otherwise I doubt I would be going my 8th year as a charm. My FAQ page states that I don't answer most emails unless the writer specifically asks me for a response.
I understand that some fans want a charm to corrospond with them during their membership. But to state that a charm doesn't care about her site if she isn't replying to your emails BEFORE you become a member is just false.
Some charms have a "member" only email account.
There are definitely benefits to membership
And although I don't answer most emails, I am interested in what my fans have to say. READING my emails is not the same as replying
Serena, I couldn't have said that better. I care very much about my site and I think that it shows in the amount and quality of work I put into it, but admittedly, I am TERRIBLE about keeping up with my emails. I get so many every day that it can be very overwhelming to try to stay on top of, especially while trying to put out 4 updates a week plus videos. I find that this forum is a much better medium to communicate and get to know fans since I can talk to many at once, and read and respond in little snippets throughout the day. I wish I could be better about email, but I've tried many different ways of keeping on top of it and they always seem to get away from me.

Agree, Sharlyn caught me that way. I don't tend to read al the blurb about each Charm and noticed her hairy pussy in one of her free shots and WOW, I wasn't disappoined in her members Area!

I suppose it's like any other 'business' - which is what a SC is actually operating - you experiment to see what maximizes your profitability.
I suppose I would also add this somewhat whimsical statement: those whose sexual assets look better than one would think when looking at them clothed might be well advised to reveal a little bit of those assets in the free area to show the viewer what they are missing: conversely, those who don't look as good as one might think in the flesh (but you wouldn't know that from looking at them clothed) would perhaps be well advised to stay more covered up in the free area and live off the 'suckers' who are fooled.
The first sort are like a really good quality but not flashy car that you need them to take a test drive in, because you know once they try it the product will continue to sell itself, whereas the second sort are kind of like the fun house at the county fair - it's all about getting them to come in, after that you don't care because they won't repeat.

@glockenspiel: I see what you are saying there but I don't think any of us girls are "tricking" people into joining. Sure, money is nice. But we want people who are interested in us and plan to stay with us. Just because you aren't interested in a type of person doesn't mean someone else isn't.
You also have to stop to think what other reasons there might be to not show full nudity in the free. Take me for example, I don't like to because it makes me uncomfortable. This may sound odd to you but if someone is interested in me enough to pay money to see me I don't mind showing them everything. But the idea of people just browsing my free pictures to get a good look at my naked body every time I update then not pay for anything makes me feel sleazy and used.
Also, if you don't like someone's free pictures or if you aren't sure they are good enough for your standards you can read their info on their site, email them, or just move on. There are PLENTY of Charms to choose from. If they aren't selling to you personally that's their own problem.

I have to say that all of my sets end up with myself completly naked, but i have to agree with what other charms have said here and that is I try not to put full nudity or close up shots in my free section as i feel people will see them and give them no incentive to buy the set/membership. All of my free ones tho do show myself half naked, or at least a taster is what is to come when you buy the set.
