Ashlyn Murphy wrote:Great question and feedback! I have this OCDish thing with my updates and sometimes it drives me crazy. I need either my free area or pay area to have a number of pics that ends in 0 or 5. For instance, if I have a set with 84 pics, I try to break it down to either 9 or 10 in the free area. A set with 52 pics, 7 or 10 in the free area. It is so annoying that I have this obsession! :P

It very much depends on the total number of pictures for me. If I have an update with over 100 pics, I feel a little freer to share more; say maybe 20 in the free area. I don't ever want my members to feel like I don't appreciate them. I want them to know that they are getting access to what most people don't. If I have a small set of maybe 40 pics, 20 is way too much to give away. And now I feel I have over explained myself. ;) But thank you again for the feedback!

omg I used to be the same way about needing my free and pay areas to end in 0s or 5s. I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

I had wondered about this very same thing. I have tried 5, 9, 12, and it is the same pretty much. I think I post more free pics if I think the set is a nice one. And if I am not as pleased as I wish I could be, maybe 5 only.

The thing is, I have seen some of my "not so good sets" ping and bring the boys to the yard", and my nice sets, or ones I think may be decent, nada bada boo.

You never know. I enjoy hunting for that sweet spot myself. So much fun to experiment.
Thanks for the perspectives on this subject,

Brenda :P

I usually post 3 to 7. Depends how big the sets are. My free are enticing but leave a lot to the imagination.

From a fan's perspective, I would say 3 is a little light, 5 to 10 is a great number, and much more than that on the free side they tend to get repetetive... I'd rather see 5 unique quality shots rather than 100 shots that are slightly off and basically the same!
