UK Porn Laws delay....again

Well another day another update on the UK's fall into a dystopian nightmare. Did I say fall? I mean continued dystopian nightmare.

Having the laws booked to come in to force on the 15th of next month, the move has been stopped yet again with a delay of 6 months. This will put them into force in about December of 2019, although I think by then, coming so shortly after the proposed Brexit date, then the riots will probably cause a further delay, that or with a new government in power it may also be busy. The reasons for the delay are a little bit vague.

Apparently the government minister in charge of the porn ban forgot to tell our EU overlords that Britain was about to ban porn and it will presumably take 6 months to get them by email or phone to tell then about it, apparently the great London carrier pigeon strike did not give them a 3rd option of communication. I suppose they are hoping that after mid October Britain may be able to make its own laws without prior permission from the Empire.

Soooooo we are still not able to say much about the ban, it is still on the books, the systems to monitor it are still theoretical and the CPS [Crown Prosecution Service] are still saying they will ignore any police force that tries to bring a prosecution. It all falls into an increasingly desperate situation in the UK, at least our leaders appear to be too incompetent to implement the Orwellian laws they desire us to live under so much. Watch this space for more fun a frolics of the state of the UK.

oh they are moving to bad VPN's too. They tried on 2017, but didn't get far, its simply unworkable, even if they did manage to sensor the internet, another will just pop up. In fact its already starting now. Whatever happens we will still have porn, and still have insane people trying to ban everything.

Wow, I had not heard about this! Seems a bit like trying to ban alcohol in the US during Prohibition...only obviously a much bigger challenge with the internet and digital media...seems strange in this day and age but I will stay tuned and curious to see what comes of it.
