I am thankful for only having one child at school age right now. Over the summer I have had my child read to me and do many educational events or outings.
Here we are. School is in. He child is at their desk. Ready to learn. But the school system does not have a portal link show up. No government learning available today for my child.
Should I just let that be the end? Wait for someone else to not teach my child? Let the board decide how my child learns?
I stand up and say, "No way!"
An hour of reading daily. English, grammar, french and math for today as well. History, geography, science and technology get dedicated instruction. Sports, music and arts are especially fun. I don't stop there. I make sure my child is aware of current events, politics, international trade and business. The list goes on.
Every parent must fight harder for their kids during this crazy COVID time. The numbers around us are going up. Great time to spend with the family. Today's motto... Learn together and have fun doing it.
Thanks for the vent.

Re: School is back
I will not send my lil guy back to school till they get this under control. I am in Canada and it isn't too bad but still won't risk it.. He will do remote learning at home and they will provide a laptop for him, thank goodness because I need mine to work on here lol
Stay safe yall
