This was a year before I started in Southern Charms.

I was out the morning of the 1st day of Spring doing a sunrise shoot, because... why not? I was awake and ready to start my day!
Well, thanks to 'daylight saving time', sunrise isn't as early as it used to be, and the site is exposed to the road,
so I really wasn't surprised to hear a car coming! So ,I just turned my back to the road and got on with things!
I assumed that they were busy driving too fast for the road (I could tell just listening) to be rubbernecking much,
and they couldn't see anything of me but my head anyway!

Well, the shot was off, and I didn't use it in Update #735. (coming Monday, March 25th!)
But my cameradude took it, and as he calls it 'messed with it' to bring out the details,
and so a much larger version of this will be my yearly Promo Pic Update next February, 2025!

I started this in News Of the Weird (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=47417), it turned into a rant, and ended up here.

So I'm playing this game on my phone tapping blocks, mindless mental masturbation if you please, and there are ads between EVERY SINGLE LEVEL.
I switch to cryptograms and not only are their ads between levels, but now they are just randomly inserted while I'm trying to do the puzzle.

Most of the ads are for gambling sites, but a substantial portion are snippets of werewolf stories. Alpha Males, his forbidden Luna, that sort of thing.
And these suckers are violent. Just in the small advertised paragraphs they are romanticizing horribly abusive behavior. Stuff that never would be tolerated in the BDSM community. Stalking, breaking bones, serial killer type stuff.

The males are controlling and threatening and violent, and the females dependent and submissive.

Is this what the straights think is romantic? Are young girls reading stories like this for relationship goals? I shudder to think what an abusive man could get away with with a woman who reads this kind of romance novel. I hope young (not young?) people reading this garbage (or better yet, read something else for your sexual needs?!) can keep this behavior in the realm of fantasy and not let abusers get away with this shit in real life.

I know how they got swept up in Twilight, people are still sucking each other's blood.

I guess every generation has it's own toxic iconic romances, I just hope this isn't it.

OK... Now for something completely different!

A random shot from a little study my camerabear did after a session for am upcoming Update.
I had left them in my studio after I did #738, because, really, I can barely walk in them. These are shoes to be waved in the air while I am on my back getting pounded, or perhaps sitting in a high backed throne-like chair for my feet worshiped in?
At lest for me!

BUT!
The sun was pouring in the window, the shoes were sparkling, and it all came out pretty neat!

Well, it is looking like our local version of the 2024 Eclipse might be rained out!
We should be getting 87%+ totality, but maybe it just gets dark and then light for us.

But I am making plans anyway, because while it is iffy, that works both ways! Besides, one way or another, I plan on getting 'lucky'!
