Before I start the September poll later in a few weeks, I wanted to get everyone's opinion on "revoting"- should voters have the opportunity to CHANGE THEIR VOTE?

Why Allowing Vote Changes Can Be More Exciting
Real-Time Drama: As votes shift, fans can see their favorite rise or fall in the rankings. That suspense keeps people checking back and staying engaged.

Campaigning & Momentum: It might move Charms and their fans to rally harder mid-vote, bringing more fans to the fanbox and creating a real time comeback story for lower vote charms

Strategic Voting: Fans might vote tactically—supporting underdogs early, then switching to frontrunners if the race tightens. It would keep the winner invisible until the very end of the contest as the showing votes couldn't be construed as guaranteed.

Forums thrive on discussion. And it may get users will debate, persuade, and react to every twist, fueling more interaction.

The downside?
Fan Fatigue: If the leaderboard changes too often, some fans might feel their vote doesn’t matter or lose interest.

Looks like the majority, by a slim margin DO want the option to change their votes.

September contest voting poll has been set up with the option to change your vote.

I wish I had seen this poll before voting ended, I definitely would have voted not to be allowed to change votes. These contests have been a fun way to get fans to support their favorite Charms and have a laugh, but I think as the voting continues now, lobbying among Charms to get some to change a vote will make this less fun.

Time will tell. I’ve been running these contests for along time now and as with most things in this world things need change to improve. I honestly don’t see any difference if charms “ lobby” to get votes or “lobby” to retain the vote. Allowing votes to be changed will be more interesting and suspenseful. Besides changing of votes isn’t required or mandated but it’s allowed for strategic moves or simply because a voter changes their mind.

The poll ran quite awhile. If you want to make sure you see all new posts you can click the “view unread posts” link at the top on the mid left of page . This forum has quite a bit of helpful and interesting information on it and a lot of very loyal fans post here. It’s a shame to miss any posts.

The poll was up for weeks and as you can see, one more vote against would not have changed the outcome. And everything on the forum is done for the fun! As the votes are done anonymously, only the one who made the vote would know who he or she voted for.

I think the contests will always be fun because of that anonymity and now there will be more opportunities when there are two or three or more that are close, to help someone new win!

Actually, it was 10 arguments for it as the yes votes numbered 10.

I’m interested in all opinions as I haven’t decided whether to make it permanent yet
