How long do you decorations stay up?
This is such a hot topic and a debate and omg I just laugh as I could leave mine
up all year round but my neighbors and children would probably die lol
I have up this year, well over 100 inflatables, 4 trees inside, more outside and thousands of lights!
I am the clark griswald of our street LOL
how about your home?
much love

Until February. During COVID I decided to keep the holiday cheer going for longer and i have stuck with that tradition since.

Re: How long do you decorations stay up?
What decorations?
We're empty nest grandparents. Christmas morning is spent at our daughters' house with all the grandkids. I cook Christmas dinner at our house. My son in law immediately finds some type of sports on tv and the rest of us play board games all night.
My husband and I decided we were done with the decorating. When we used to put up a tree, etc. - the decorations, including the tree came down Christmas afternoon! By that time I was tired of the mess, and keeping the cats out of it, and the broken ornaments and the tree was dead anyways (we always got a live tree)
We gave all of our decorations to our adult kid and grandkids.
I guess you can call me Scrooge

Hi so happy to see another Christmas fanatic like myself, I keep my inside up until end of January inside I have 15 Trees and go to town else wear. My outside is lighted up to the max as well and I add more every year. Because of my HOA the outside has to be down within 15 days of the Holiday. Wow over 100 inflatables I bet its so beautiful !!

1st or 2nd january it all goes ... if it was for my husband (I guess most men ) no decorations at all .... haha
In fact, nowadays it has very little to do with Christmas, it's just so exploited to spend money ... it never stops, halloween, saint nicolas (europe), christmas, new years, valentine ...

According to Roman Catholic liturgy, Christmas ends on the Sunday after Epiphany. Here in Spain, we celebrate Christmas until January 6th, Three Kings' Day, when the Three Kings bring gifts to the children. And by the 7th, I usually have all the decorations put away.

Re: How long do you decorations stay up?
I have slowly begun to take them down
We put them up a little at a time, over a week or so, and they come down a little at a time, too.
We have this tradition of always leaving one thing out for good luck... it started as an accident. You know, put everything away and as soon as you've got it all buried in the back of the closet you find the one thing you forgot? Now that thing is good luck and has to stay out all year LOL.

I can totally understand. We have two Halloween Animatronics in our front entryway: "Frankie & Eva" (8' tall Frankenstein and his 6' tall Bride) They greet anyone who comes into our home

LOL. A 2.5 ft tall blowmold of Stitch as Elvis Presley. He was a new addition this year, and I have no clue where I'm going to store him (this was part of the discussion when he was purchased) but we had to have him, so now he lives in our living room until further notice.SultrySerenaSC2 wrote: So what is the thing you left out this year?
I LOVE that you have Frankie and his bride greet your guests! Your house sounds fun!
