Mine uses a Canon Rebel EOS T6. It is not a great camera, but I wouldn't let him get into a hot tub with an expensive full-frame camera. :)

Anyway, I thought SC scaled images down if they were too large.

We're predominantly Canon based but are still using DLSR's and are quite old now. The investment in the past though was so great that simply upgrading for the sake of it is prohibitively expensive. Once they break, that's when we'll upgrade.

Your Canon will have come with the Free DPP software which will allow you to resize on export. It's not the best piece of software and is quite clunky on our ageing Macs, but it's free, can bulk adust things like colour balance and is a RAW editor so non destructive.

I used a Nikkon for decades, literally.

But decided to start using my Iphone instead of spending $$$$$ on new camera etc. I can't think of anything that would make me ever go back to using a heavy camera and dealing with the flash the batteries the SD cards......................nope, I'll stick with my Iphone. Lightweight, easy to use and takes amazing pics. My husband is definitely happier being able to shoot with the iphone instead of the bulky camera.

I agree with Sultry Serena. I have a Canon, but I'm using my cell phone more and more. The cameras they come with are amazing, both for photos and videos.

One does not need expensive cams as the pictures are reduced / compressed so an iphone is just perfect !

I am not sure if it is technically still needed nowadays, but still, the mechanical clicking sound of a real camera and seeing my reflection in the large lens does do something for me.

I'm kinda weird...I dig the actual camera sounds too. But I use BOTH My Phone and two Canon camera as well. I mix it up dependiong on what I'm trying to acheive.

Likewise. We couldn't rock up to someone's wedding with phones and expect to be taken seriously as professionals. Equally though, we distinctively know when it's better to use a phone.
