Book Worms

In my youth I was a massive Azimov Fan especially the Foundation Trilogy ever since I heard it on the Radio and got hooked, I love Science and technical things, and thats all thanks to reading Azimov, H.G.Wells and Clark.

I am reading through all the Halo books at the moment, (as in Xbox game related), It dosent sound as bad as you think they are quite clever, Hay I even did an update with bodypaint to look like one of the main characters.

I also read alot of History too, and am a bit of a geek when it comes to the subject.

Thats what I mostly read.

If you enjoy Isaac I suggest Janet. Noteably Pshrinks Anonymous. Her humour is right up there with some of the best even though she got much less attention as an author.

I just finished reading The Killing Art by Jonathan Santlofer. It lists itself as a suspense novel but I think it was more a cross between a police procedural and an old fashioned murder mystery (complete with twist). Actually a really good read of you like the genre and the art in the book is original by the author which is pretty cool too. I will definately be looking for more of his books.

Currently, I'm reading The Godfather, it's a bit of a long read though, but when I get into it, I can sit with it for aged.
I'm not an avid reader, there is only one author that I make a point of buying all of his books. Christopher Brookmyre, a Scottish crime writer, whose books all have a darkly humorous side to them, but you'd probably have to be Scottish to understand much of the dialogue.
But, of course, my favourite author is me

Speaking of Scottish Authors. I just picked up Ian Rankin's Resurrection Men. It's good so far but then I enjoyed another of his I read before.

I've never got round to reading any Ian Rankin, although I did like the Rebus TV series, based on his novels.

Not that I have ever seen. I'm not going to say no, as it could be on an obscure channel at an odd hour. We do that here

Yes, we tend to do that here too with imported TV shows, which makes me wonder why they bother acquiring the rights to them.

That was the sort of time that they showed Kids in the Hall when it was on over here. And The A-Team was on at something ridiculous like 4.30 am.

To be fair, KITH was on at a ridiculous hour after the show ended as well. I miss KITH. Loved that show

I'm ALMOST done with WaterShip Down. (I know it's taken me a long time, I'm a busy girl!) It's a great book!!

Lol. sometimes it can take me longer to finish a book. Like last weekend I didn't finish a single one. Of course I was out having fun in a hotel again so reading wasn't a top priority

I JUST finished Watership Down. LOVED IT. I'm actually really sad it's over. It was so good!

I also read the graphic novel Life With Mr. Dangerous by Paul Hornschemeier today (it is very short). It was pretty good if you like things like Ghost World. But it was far less awesome than Ghost World is. If you haven't read Ghost World you really should. Don't skimp out and watch the movie, it's pretty different (though I like both).

I'll keep an eye out for both. I'm reading Iris Johanssen's The Ugly duckling now. She is a fantastic author. I like her work as well as Kay Hooper's work
