Ariah - if you're serious about it, don't (pardon the expression) whore yourself out to some existing company - do it yourself! You're already effectively running your site as a home business, just take it to the next level. Treat it like any other business on the internet - keep promoting yourself, buy ad/banner space on other sites, interact with fans on forums on other sites. As you get more "known", people will seek you out.

If you are serious about going pro, you'll have to move to LA where the major companies are located. Otherwise you'll only be shooting part time. You'll have to get an agent or work for a modeling agency that'll et you the most work. You should also attend a major porn convention and introduce yourself to the agencies while you are there. Their reps are always there looking for new talent! I know some people that are now doing very well in the biz in a short period of time.

You can also do it on your own. Look on the back of dvds get the production company names! you don't need a agent! My friend is pro and she does it all on her own! They fly her out to Floridia and LA. Pays her hotel, do her hair and make up! She loves it! I personally don't think I could... I'm shy and backwards lol I like the amateur. I control the shoots. I have thought about it. Would love to do it on my own. But, no knowledge on how to. Going to LA makes me nervous. I never know who I can trust. I get emails, but honestly how do I know if they are legit???

Yeah I agree you don't need an agent or anything like that. All an agent does is take a chunk of your money. I've done magazines and all sorts of stuff in the industry over the last 13+ years. You can do it yourself. I do say get a lawyer to look over any contracts anyone wants you to sign and read ALL the fine print. Check the back pages of magazines you'd like to be in. Same thing with DVDs. Most mainstream girls don't live in Los Angeles bc the city will eat you alive and you tend to start "living the business". It turns into a lifestyle instead of just a job. Also with the new condom laws in Los Angeles a lot of companies are making the choice to shoot in Las Vegas where we don't have those laws. Heck look at Jessie Jane she lives in Oklahoma lol. So you can make money in porn and not live in Los Angeles.

thank you both for all of the suggestions and pointing me in the right directions.. definetly not looking to do it full time and live in La.. mainly because porn isn't a long lived thing.. I could be in it for only a few years and then be back where I started (although i'd be more smart with my money than most) however paying LA cost of living wouldn't help.. I get my breast augmentation in a few weeks so I will see where it takes me.. im not trying to get rich doing porn.. just would like to be able to make a comfortable living and honestly wehere I live.. you can live comfortably on 2k a month (giving you have partner with matching income..) all of the income I bring in is really just savings and "fun" money for hubs and I when we are old.. ugh I dread that word.. "old." .
