Ok, this may be a strange question here, but has any one ever used a go-pro for photos? I was thinking about getting one for general photos and fun stuff, and wanted to know if any one had any expierence with them
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Re: go-pro
Hey dear,
well, I am using an action cam for videos, but not the Go-Pro. Personally I think Go-Pro is very unhandy because his dimensions.
I am using this one:

Extremely handy for more sexal comfort

Re: go-pro
I used an action cam and now have the go-pro hero 3. I think it is a very handy cam. The free video editing software is also one of the most user friendly editing tools I've used. It takes high quality pictures and when you have it in the waterproof case it takes great underwater stills and video as long as there is a lot of bright sunlight. I set the go-pro on a tripod and can use my phone as a remote to take pictures via Wi-Fi connection and start and stop video as well.

Definately An Interesting Use For It. How Did You Like The Quality Of The Video? Any Issues Our Things You Didn't Like?

It was wide angel, which gathers more items in the periphery than I expected. Overall, I think it was positive though and I'm going to work on the settings to find the best setting for what I do with it.

There are different settings you can choose, did you have it on the least wide?

Re: go-pro
I would think for your go-pro set up it would work best on the narrow mode so that way the focus is mainly what is in front of the camera.

Re: go-pro
Ok, so I have one and my initial playing around with it shows that it takes very clear pics, with an impressive depth of field, and is very easy to use strait out of the box. Also, you can't beat the mounting options, as the ever lovely Randi has shown. Any one else have any fun stories to share about them?

Well, I've been doing some trial and error and I think I found my settings. I'll have a video up by Friday that I think was done well with it.

Re: go-pro
Yeha, the one thing I've found that I'm not a huge fan of is that I can't control the aperture settings like on my DSLR. I know I'm spoiled, but it is a fun toy, especially for the price. I also like the remote for it as well, makes taking odd angle shots and the like much easier.

We haven't used the go-pro for my site. But my husband has borrowed one several times from a photographer buddy of his to film rides on the motorcycle. The videos have been amazingly beautiful and clear and crisp.

I have one for when we go surfing. I never thought about using it for SC. I might have to try it.
