I went to a friends b-day party last night and drank quite a bit I am slightly hungover, which is fine. But there is a place that gives kids train rides a block from my house and the train has been blowing it's whistle every five minutes since 8 this morning! My brain hurts!

Sorry to hear you are hung over. That's too bad. I drank most of the day and well into the night last night but I take very good care of myself so I didn't get a hang over. Lucky me!

LMAO... that is the first time I've ever heard anyone say they drank all day and night and that they take very good care of themselves in the same sentence.

Personally, I'm not much of a drinker anymore, but I used to be. Vodka was my favorite. I've had my fair share of hangovers. The key is to drink lots of water so your body doesn't get dehydrated. That's all a hangover is anyway.

Good advice. I used to drink a fair amount when I danced and did shooter girling. I always drank water while I was drinking and I have never in my life had a hangover.

@Lace: Sounds like you hang with some pretty boring people. It's easy to take care of yourself (obviously water, eating right, and pacing yourself are the best ways to avoid a hang over) if you try. I didn't get "wasted" at any point, etc. I don't like to be very drunk because I think it looks and feels sloppy.

I usually drink a glass of water for every drink I have and don't get hungover, but last night I was dancing and sweating a lot, so I probably should have had 2 glasses for each beverage! Like I said, I was only a little hungover so it passed pretty quickly.

I don't drink much anymore either, Lace, and I definitely don't think it's "boring" to hang out with people who don't. It's important to be able to have fun and enjoy the company of others when sober. I think people who drink all the time are more boring because they need to drink to have a good time!

Yikes. I was just kidding. I don't drink "all the time" and I certainly don't need to to have fun. As I said before I was at an engagement party so we were all very festive all day.
