I love the forum, but I hate the phpBB default look.
Is there any chance Southern charms might be willing to have a competition for a forum makeover? I was thinking of something with a sidebar that could have stuff like pic of the week, quote of the week etc. and maybe list the latest posts.
Just a thought, I don't know if anyone else would be interested or enjoys web design.

I think the layout is nice because it's VERY simple. Not much to load so it loads quickly. I wouldn't mind a revamp as long as it doesn't make posting slow down.

I like the fact its so simple, doesn't take long to load or freeze. Maybe something that highlighted new posts but I can't think theres anything that needs to be changed.

Unfortunately, it is probably something I'd have to post an example of first. I'm more familiar with Invision Power Board and Zeta, but without writing any code I was thinking of a theme along these lines.

But cleaner. Just a thought.

That's okay (aside from the blanking banner at the top which is VERY annoying) but it seems like a lot of effort for no reason. Personally I don't mind what it looks like (aside from load-time) and I don't see the problem with it now. (Not bashing your idea, just being honest!) Plus it's MORE work for the site owners who are already over worked putting up updates.

I personally like the simplicity. It keeps the focus on the forum itself, not a bunch of distractions and annoying blinking banners and ads.

Well, having tried the Pro Ubuntu Lucid style under board preferences, it is much better. So, I will gladly let this drop.

Oh yes! Thanks! I did know that but I still prefer the blue.
I kinda think the Ubuntu is extra goofy. I LOVE Linux Ubuntu but it was a bit of a hassle to be a Charm that way at first.
