Be careful what you wish for. I was joking to a chat fan that I was going to do a rain dance because my garden was miserable and my rain barrels empty. I finally meditated on the subject and then we get such strong storms that I am without power for a week and without internet/phone longer. I repaired my garage, and luckily just the corner of it was caught by the neighbors tree. My other neighbor, however wasn't so lucky. It smashed through her garage and damaged her car! It will cost $55,000 to solar pannel my house. Anyone wanna help me fundraise?! I do videos!

We've been getting the storms, minus the rain. My power (while not off for a week straight) has been on and off fairly frequently.
I only want the rain though. No more of the thunder, lightening and wind with no benefits at all.

And Eva, If you can go solar or wind, do it. I generate a small amount of pwer for myself and would definitely set up to be most off the grid if I could afford it!

I've had the assessment, but decided to do the kitchen first. Wind wouldn't be an option in my location with the overhead power and cable/telephone lines and tiny land lots. Unless I moved out of the convenient city... but then I couldn't bike or walk to my destinations... hence the solar. It is WAY out of my price range for now though. But I'm with you on that one Xandusk!

I'd love to have some rain. It has been sweltering here in Arkansas with nothing but ridiculous heat. It's been over 100F most days. Come on fall!

Well , we seem to have got some good weather back

Although as I'm planning a trip to the seaside it will probably start raining again !
